Customary Land Rights

File under: Agrarian Reform and Access to Land

OXFAM-NOVIB and ANGOC organized a regional conference from October 18 to 22, 2009 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia contributing to the process of enhancing the capacities of and building solidarity among NGOs/CSOs working on customary land rights in Southeast Asia. Through exchanging various experiences in the six countries the workshop was envisioned to enrich, on one hand, local dynamics in each of the participating countries so that these become more effective and influential. On the other hand, the workshop also intended to identify possible inroads for regional and global actions. Links can be made here with already ongoing work and initiatives of Oxfam Novib and ANGOC.
