Landlessness and Social Justice: An Assessment of Disparities in Land Distribution and Prospects of Land Reforms

This is a land mapping exercise carried out by Ekta Parishad and Praxis in recognition of the critical role of land in the lives of the poor. It is aimed at understanding the nuances of land distribution in Bihar, to form the basis for collective actions aimed at better entitlements for the poor. The current global crisis has helped re-establish a long forgotten paradigm that it is not just the size of the cake that matters, but how it is cut. This land mapping exercise provides clear evidence of this.
